Hey All; Well no better time to start this than now. So I will start adding my rigs here for all to enjoy. Now this is gunna take a while so grab a cold one or a snack and put your feet up and savor some Wrenchified Rigs. So where do I bigin,... Well I have been in and out of the RC and Static Model building world almost all my life now. After Wrench'n on 1:1 scale motorcycles all day long I come home and Wrench on Toyz. But we all know they are not toys now don't we. And we have the reciepts to prove it.lol I enjoy all aspects of RC from 1/36th scale Micro's all the way up to 1/8th scale and someday beyond into the 1/5th or 1/4 scale rigs.Wife still says if is big enough to ride then it is not a toy. lol I run the gambit from Nitro to LiPo and enjoy it all.And I have covered onroad to offroad as well. I am a surface guy, tryed to fly once but not for me.Why spend countless hours and tons of cash just to crash and burn it into the ground. Just me I guess. So I guess I will lead off with one of my favorite builds. So here we go,enjoy.L8R,Wrench.

As featured in Readers Rides in June 09 RC Car Action Magazine. Here is the picture they chose from the 3 I sent them.

Image

This is my Associated Electronics Nitro TC3 (NTC3). It is the first version with the single speed and the .12 to motor. I got it from my now defunked LHS when we got hit with a bad storm there shop was water damaged real bad. The box had gotten wet but everthing on the inside was dry. So I bought it on storm sale price of $99. Well I ran the rig for a while and started to add a few hop-ups as needed to be competetive.First was the .12 motor out for a .15 sportin a blue Odonell Alloy head. After I flogged the crap out of it and we lost our local onroad track to run it at I started to fully kit it out. Since it served me so well I decided to give a bit of a dress up.So many bucks and months later here is what I have. The body is a Protoform Nissan Altima painted all in rattle cans and topped off with some HardCore Alloy rims. It has all Carbon Fiber chassis and shock towers and upper deck. About the only thing stock are the diffs. All else has been swapped out to some goodies. So here she be.Only change since the pics has been a Vantage Carbon Fiber wing. And I run Jaco foams under it when I run it, the Tamiya Semi-Slicks are shelfers.

Hey All; Next we will stick with the on-road rigs and post up my Tamiya TB EVO III build. After running a TC3 for a while I was bitten by the TC bug and upgraded to a Tamiya TB EVO 3 and after beating on it for some time I went and added a few goodies to it. So now it has about all the TRF Alloy goodies avail. tossed onboard. Also tossed on some that I found along the way by other companies like Tobee and Square. It is fitted with an eXtreme blue Carbon Fiber chassis and topped off with the Altezza body but after getting the fauxcarbon C/F body to go with I just had to paint my own lid for it as well.I opted for some Tamiya Enzo Rims in the +2mm offset to fill the wheel wells and tossed on some Tamiya Semi-Slick tires for the shelf lid. It just didn't feel completed even though I think it took longer to apply all those HKS decals compaired to painting one up myself. Painted by me in rattle cans again.Long before I got a real airbrush.I had a crappy $7 single action cheepy I got fron Northern Tool. Either way it gave me a beater body and a shelf body for it.It is a real quick and very stable car.I use a Orion Revolution 10T motor and an LRP quantum comp2 ESC on rubber tires.Real nice rig but since discontinued for the IV and there newer still EVO mark V. I am a shaft drive guy since having real bad luck running belt driven cars. After retiring this rig I went onto a HPI Pro4 which was a better rolling car but I think the Tamiya was better planted.I do use it for drifting dutied every now and again. So that about sums it for this rig. Enjoy the pics.l8r,w.

Thanks for the props fellas. Was a nice feeling getting the letter from RCCA about my ride.lol l8r,w.

Here is one of my Tamiya F-103's that was in the Nov 07 issue of RCDriver.I never knew about it till I opened the mag and there it was.I had posted a few pics of it on there website and the decided to use it. I got a free one year subscription from them using it.So jsut sent those pics in you never know what can come from it.Our very own Sav03 made this months Xrc mag.So give it a try sometime, just an email away.
This is a Tamiya F-103 Bitberger Benetton Renault B195 in M.Shumacker helmet livery.I have tossed on just about every Hop-up I could find still availible for it since these were discontinued. They have since reissued a 15th Aniversery edition that I have my eye on.And the all new F-104 with the battery layout lengthwise instead of side to side.Should help an already killer car be even better.Got my eye on one of those someday too.lol Top 10 wish list just got to the top 15 list. Here are few pics for your viewing pleasure.Enjoy.l8r,w.

The rims and tires are from Imex. They are 2.8's and are called the BEY model. The tires are the Skull n Bonez and are pretty kool looking. After they came out they sold alot of them only to find out the Jato 3.3 will shred them in No time at all. Now they have a warning label on the bag.lol l8r,w.

"Öuch" haha.

I love the gladiators, one of my favorite tread designs. Somewhere between the common pin tires and badlands.

Hey All; Well it seems this has been neglected for long enough. Guess I could add a few pics and keep the ball rolling with some more of my rigs. So what do first. Well how about another F-1 pic or 2. Enjoy.l8r,w.

Here is a TamiyaF-201 TCS cup car. I added every Option Hop up TCS legal part there was availible for it.I decided on a Ferrari F-2001 Vodofone Livery after scoring the Marlboro decals from Japan. It is a fun rig with 4WD as oposed to the 2WD F-103 I was used to back then. Drives alot like a TC rig as compaired to the older Direcrt Rear Wheel drive the F-1's were modeled after. Tamiya has since discontinued this model but we know it will be back. After the current F-103 reissue and all new F-104 release (I got Mine) seems Tamiya is listening to it's customers again and adding some real kool rigs to there ever boulging catalouge. So if I listed all the crap on here my fingers would bleed.OK OK get to the pics already.

Image

Image

And here is the F-201GP with every trick part I could find at the time for it.Went with a Red Bull Petronas Livery on this one.

I love the 201 nekkid shots. If I was going to own an F1 it would have to have rear suspension.

Thanks guys the F-1's are fun rigs. So today we go all Micro. I got a few Losi Micro's and figured I would toss these out there as well.So enjoy the pics.l8r,w.

So here is the one that started it for me. Needed something on those rainy summer days to play with indoors.I opted for the DT cause of the longer chassis and the looks. Here are a few pics of it as it progressed.lol

Image

Image

Then I went with a clear lid and added some pain to it.

Image

And got the team assembled for some Baja action.lol

Image

Image

Then I saw the Micro-T bassed Ram and scored it as well. First thing was to swap out to the longer DT chassis. Way fun lil rig.

Image

Image

Image

So then with the left over parts I decided to build a Micro wedge body rig as well.

Image

Image

Image

And last but not least is the Losi Micro Crawler. This time I was fully impressed at how well this truck works.

Scale version of my Micro C.

The astroturf(spl?) looks perfect in those first few pics. You need some kind of 1/18 scale truck and trailer to haul those things, or make use of all your new tow hooks, haha. You know, something with a midnight pumpkin body might look about the right scale.
