ey All; Well after selling my RCDriver STRC Slash I used the proceeds to fund my racing efforts and scored some lightly used rigs. After deciding to sell the Slash I went on the look for some SC-10's and found an add on Craiglist for a large lot of SC-10 race rigs. After talking to the guy it turns out I have raced against him and he is friends with my LHS owner. Well after a few phone calls we came to an agreement that as soon as my rig sold we would get together and he would invite me over to see what he had to sell off. Lets just say he hooked me up BIG Time. Here are some pics of the haul since I am still doing an inventory of all the stuff he kept dumping into the boxes. In short I got 2 SC-10 1 his A truck and 1 his back up truck. Both powered by VXL-3S systems and equiped with servos. Also added to the lot was a lightly used Spektrum DX3S 2.4 radio with 3 receivers. Also he loaded me up with rims and tires for the SC-10's as well as some Slash Slash and Slash4x4 rims and tires. And then he just started dumping stuff into boxes. All kinds of stuff. He even tossed in a Revo parts rig half stripped but with tons of good parts on it. Also said he has the original boxes ans manuals somewhere in the house and will gather up all that stuff for me and drop it all off to me at my shop in the next week or so.Well here are the pics of the schwagg I scored after I got it home and into the garage for sorting and cleaning. Not bad for only $400 cash. So enjoy the pics.L8R,Wrench.

Thanks fellas I am pretty pleased with the haul. Looks like I can sell off a few items to get back a few bucks. I will be just cleaning the rigs and giving them a good once over since I have a race this coming weekend in Tampa. Already started getting rig #2 going after an inspection all I found wrong was a broken rear bumper and torn antenna wire. Rig #1 is already set up and I want to leave it along all but for a cleaning and a fluid swap.He was TQ'n and winning with it so why mess with a good thing.I did order a few items for the rigs and searched the Bay for some FT goodies. Also downloaded a few setup sheets and spit aout a few copies. Will keep you al posted on any new developments. So stay tuned.l8r,w.

Yea wrench im very interested here, because I am hoping to get a racing rig before summer to run in SC 2wd or 4x4 open classes and keep the slash for the "slash only" local stockish classes. Well if i get a job and get some damn income again that is :tng

I am leaning towards the associated offerings right now but the Ofna is doing very well here too, but has less parts support locally. So I have made no decisions but would love to hear your opinions as things go along.

Hey All; Well update on the SC10 race rigs. Scored the decal sheets I wanted to do a Red Bull Livery like the SC8 Associated did a while back.Always liked that truck. SO here is my rendition of it. Enjoy.l8r,w.

i see they let you guys use the "cheater" tires at your track....

what do you think of them. i saw that ROAR banned them from sanctioned races. what's you opinion on the performance? and the ban?

No spronsorship from red bull.yet. but with all the SC rigs running replica skinz and stuff I wanted some more color on my rig. Looked into a set of wraps but they were like $40 a wrap. I also like the SC8 RedBull livery so I wanted to recreate that on an SC10.I found a guy with sticker kits availible from England for only $10 USD. He is the guy who was making the chassis protectors and I emailed him some pics of the SC8 to see if he could do a sticker kit or 2. Just need another for the Slash 4x4 PE rig and the colors will be complete.
So as far as the Carver ribbed front tires go. I like them, they settle the front end a bit better and the rig tracks a bit nicer in the rough stuff. Our RC series said they are legal in the mod class but not the stock class. Also ROAR decided to ban them after we all bought them, so now what? A set of rims and tires and no place to run them. If you are gunna do that them do it before we all spend our hard earned money. And I didn't run out and scoop a pair either I waited to see how well they performed in the dirt for other guys before I got a set. Also a tire does not make a racer. And when you put the body on the truck the tires just about look the same as a regular tire. ROAR said they wanted to keep things scale looking so that is one of the main reasons for banning them. My Ass thay banned them cause no one asked for there approval and or testing. Just like the cab foward design lidz they banned. Thanks for the props fellas. I like them too.l8r,w.

they banned all those cool new buggy bodies? why? those are pretty cool looking IMO. i feel like ROAR has some members in it that take some pleasure in expressing their rules. sometimes rules hinder this hobby. i tried reading through roar a couple times. and i can't even follow their rules most of the time. anyway...

i like that you guys are all using the tire. i bet the full scale guys would run a tire like that on the front of their trucks if there was one made. about the only thing made like that is a tractor tire, and they usually arent belted or designed for 100mph :)

i like the skins on the bottom too man. it looks really good. just hope you arent showing the bottom off too much during the races ;)

I like the design wrench, I always dug on the Red Bull trucks myself, so It was an easy sell for me.... but you make me sick in a jealous sorta way :moon

I think that tire ban stinks myself, but at least you can run them in modified.

I have switched to the V2 slipper setup from the Ft truck. Works a ton better. Also you can unglase the slipper pads by dragging a exacto blade up and away from you at about a 45* angle and this scapes off the glazed layer. Or get a set of freshies.

VLX with the stock trans all day long. I am running the gear diffs but will switch to ball diff in the rigs eventually.Gear wise I am running 23/84 in the FT rig. and 18/87 in the stocker.HtH a bit.
