So I got one of these from my aunt couple bdays ago was to mostly motivate me to use my arms more since I had hurt both of them and to the point of being frozen menaing couldnt even move my left one at all. Bowling really worked it over the first time I played it when they brought theirs down from Ore. to visit us so how I got one...
Anyways I have the sports one it comes with, wii sports resort, mx vs atv untamed, carnival games, boom blocks and the 2nd boom blocks. So as you can see nothing really shooter type and stuff which I like but these games arent cheap so to take a plunge on a big game is kinda scary, say like black ops and the reason im scared to is the wii and all the motion stuff....played it on a xbox and it was good but on a wii for anyone that has one whats it like? Do you need the gun addon? What are some good games other then these simple type of games? I enjoy them but they can get a little boring at times...I have had this little over 2 years now and its got very hours of play time on it so think its time since I cant get rc's to play well with me :roll

Suppose in a perfect world I would have a xbox or ps3 to play the shooter games. I play alot of the online types tho on the pc just feel I should use the wii sometime lol.

playing shooters with a game pad is just painful imo... having a mouse and kb is the best way to play shooters.... driving games and sports games and scrollers are fine with a pad tho... as far as Wii games go, I only use my Wii for netflix these days.. I've always wanted to try Super Mario Galaxy tho.. loved those Super Mario games on my old NES.

Our WII is 90% Netflix use, at this point. The 360 is better in every way, though, and we use it for almost all of our games. The Kinect also blows away the WII's motion control gaming. The 2 things I like about Nintendo is that they have the Zelda series and Mario Kart.

Always thought it would be fun to get some of the old games for it, the ones you can download their is a nes style pad for playing those to. Mike Tysons punch out!

I've played a couple of shooters on the WII, and it's terrible. The controller is too simple to be able to play intuitively, I think. For FPS, my preference is PC -> 360 -> don't play -> WII.
