This is a Tamiya Ford F-150 Ranger XLT that I bought brand new in 1982 right after it was released. It wasn’t quite as popular as its brothers, the Rough Rider and Sand Scorcher. Most people built theirs as Off-Road racers and put sponsor and number decals on theirs. I chose to keep mine looking like a street truck. Back in the day I had blonde hair so I even painted the driver to reflect that. When the Blackfoot was released with the smoked windows I liked that look, so I picked up the windows for it and replaced the clear ones. This truck saw limited use the first two years and has since resided on top of a bookcase, OSOM. Since I have had it for almost 30 years, it dates me. It has never been restored.
