Hey All; Well last month at the JConcepts race in Tampa I had to grab a pair of JConcepts OverTrays for the race rgs. These suckers RULE!!!!!!!! After some cutting I had em mounted up for my first qualifiers. For now I am sharing the tray for the SC10. AS my wife says you can't drive both at the same time, right. So true you are Dear, but what if you get back to back races and don't have time to do that.lol Well you end up with a ton of wet dirt to clean off the rig. So now I MAKE the time to swap over the tray. I have to say they are not that heavy at all and compaired to a ton of dirt I say they are worth every penny I spent. I have since painted them with a lil color and a few decals. Only added a gram and a half. Here are a few pics for Ya all. Enjoy.l8r,w.

Sorry,wifes crappy phone cam.

Mounted and cut for the race.

Not sure which would be best for racing, but I loved the idea since I saw the first overtray. Makes me want a 4wd slash to run as a basher with only an overtray and no body. Bet it works great in the snow.

Just a little. I won't run it all the time due to heating issues here in Fla. But any wet or sticky tracks will always get me to run them. Also look at my recv. in the one pic if you can find it.lol. Might have to score a few more for some of my other rigs.l8r,w.

Oh man wrench, I have been looking to get a version of these...with the under tray as well (it seems like i get as much from below as from above) I am glad you posted this.

*Was there a real overheatment issue using them? I saw that you mention it in the string, could you elaborate?

*Also any other problems like fitment etc you could share before i make the leap!

I am not worried about water, the electronics are well sealed by traxxas, now if there would only have waterproofed the bearings :soap or at least used Stainless steel...I am so freaking tired of taking apart those rubber sealed bearings to clean n dry and re-oil!

It is the dust dirt and rocks getting in the drive line and center diff area that is annoying me to no end...not to mention the 5 bent rear stub axles and those slip joints that freeze up after what seems like every round at the track! I think I may be getting CVDs for it since i am about tired of disassembling and cleaning them to keep the suspension working right.

sorry about the rant bro :cheers

Almost need it with the 4x4 from all the reading that center driveshaft is a pain and the rear bearing is prone to give out, I had on mine the kingheadz bearing deal which everyone was switching to. Theirs a sticky on it here or in my thread on the one I had...sold it tho :(

Keeping all those parts clean and greased has been a big help for me.Also removed the center cover and tossed it. That way everything gets out right away. So far so good.
