Here's how it looked until yesterday (it's probably a bit cleaner than it was by the time i washed it).

Image

I needed new grips, so as an xmas gift my mom used her Harley credit card points for "chrome cash" and bought me new grips and a locking gas cap. I also need new mirrors because mine are getting pitted and oxidized. But before I go spending money I don't have on something cosmetic, I decided to play around with mirror placement as I've grown tired of what I call the "mickey mouse look" (as pictured above). However, after taking a ride with my mirror hanging I found I couldn't really see behind me. I was looking down the underside of my arm to my armpit. I could see to my side well enough, but not so much directly behind me. I'm going to see what I can do to extend the arm a little without hanging too far down or looking like Jethro made it. I know someone with access to a sand blaster and could strip the crap off the mirror arm and mount then Rustoleum that sucker gloss or matte black.

Here are a few shots of the new grips, gas cap and mirror placement.
I didn't take any full shots cuz my yard sucks. I'll have to take some by the beach or something while it's still shiny.

I just realized these pics kinda suck for how the bike looks as a whole now.
I may have to take those 'clean shots' tomorrow.

I'll get to the garage. Not exactly top priority at the moment. I raked for the other day for the 2nd time in the 12 months I've lived here. And seeing as I'm pretty much planning on moving out end of March, I really don't care about the garage floor as long as it supports my bike.
