i like the first one. with the venom one, one thing i found out that with solid u-joints on metal driveshafts, when they're bent at so far of an angle the rub & jitter alot. at top speed they make the truck shake & make alotta noise.

Okay guys, time to revamp an old thread!

So in the near future I hope to get the ol' slash running again (nicknamed Thunderhorse). I just have to get steel shafts for it, cuz we all know the stock shafts cant handle brushless. I also gotta get a new setup for it, cuz it's vxl was used to build the V-Maxx. But I feel I've overused the vxl, so I wanna try something new :?? I have a 100A esc & 2600kv motor combo in mind, but I'm also open to any else (within a reasonable budget of course). Anyone got any suggestions?

lol well that sure got a rise outta you :fart doin some research & checkin on reviews for the max & sidewinder. That limits it down to the sidewinder & the max (if i just got it as the esc alone). On the max, its its all good other than just minor issues like firmware or sometimes parts like to stick together (getting it as a system bundle takes it over the $200 mark). On the sidewinder, there's alot of stuff like "not much different from the vxl" or "pretty weak cuz it can only do 2s". Maybe the new sv2 sidewinder will be better when they release it later this month.

sidewinder http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_inf ... 410-3800kV

max http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_inf ... 406-4600kV
