okay guys i have a quick question.

whats the best general oil weight to use? and how much limit on the shock travel do you normally go with?

to help you out a lil more this is just for a basher rig.

can you tell me what rig?

if its for off road? hard to say. dont go over 40, or under 20. but i am just guessing.

Depends on what it is and where it's going to be driven. I use 35 on a lot of them, though...

well its for my stampede and i was thinking more around 40 weight oil.

40wt should be good for a basher. Make sure loaded with battery the A arns sit just above level after you compress the chassis and let ut rise back up. Adjust by adding preload clips or preload via the knurled retainer. Bigger heavier rigs can require alot thicker oil. In my ERevo I run 60wt front and 80wt rear with light medium springs.
