Thank you for the warm welcome guys. As Jason said, I have a few builds that are done already, but I will get them up here soon. I've got a build going on at the moment on a 4 door chevy truck that I will also get out here, once I quit being so lazy.

Hi all I'm Scott, I just joined the forum a couple weeks ago but haven't had time to post. I was way into RC about 20 years ago, had a tamiya fox, a lunchbox, a bolink sport and a couple other 1/10 scale electric cars. Don't know really why I got out of it but I'm back. Just got a T-Maxx 3.3 cause I saw it online and immediately knew I had to have one. Joined the site cause I've been bashing alone here in New Jersey and would like to find some company or suggestions on places to bash in New Jersey.
Anyway, cool site hope I can visit it more often.

aint that the truth... welcome aboard everyone.. I joined here back in April I think.. was on RCMT for about a month before... been into RC for a long while but I had some long dry spells.. been hooked since I got a Nikko Rhino in the 80s.. then got a Grasshopper as my first hobby grade rc.. cracked the gear case on the Grasshopper and put the Rhino rear end on it and beat that RC like crazy... my buddy had a Frog and we'd hit these amazing spots out on the ocean bluffs in Goleta CA (near Santa Barbara).. that was a ton o fun.

wow, im not new here, but definitely have been slacking in my boards lately.
name is Michael, but i go by MJ on the boards. i just move to DC and work as a contractor for the Federal Aviation Administration doing cost benefit analysis.

been into rc anything my whole life. growing up it was primarily aircraft. planes and large scale sailplanes. once i went to college the rc car.truck thing was bigger for me because of size and easy access to areas for playing, ie. parking lots.
i still have lots of rc cars and trucks. Twin force, its parts and being used for other projects. TA05, two tamtechs, DF03 on roids and CF, MP7.5 converting to a solid rear axle Corr truck. or desert racer, whatever suits you.
i helped savage and another guy start these forums when mini scale was big, and can lend advice to almost any topic, (when i am around). since i am not around all that oftern savage and jamus have continued to support this site with great success!
i am glad to be a part of this hobby and the people in it!

Howdy, name's Jeff. I live down near Corpus Christi, married & 2 girls (18 & 9).

Just getting into the RC stuff. I build 1/24 & 1/25 scale model cars, but saw a video of some scaler rigs out running & figured I'd hop in & test the waters.

I've got an Electrix Circuit stadium truck. I had looked into the Stampede & Highroller, but for a beginner rig the Circuit looked to be a better choice for me. Oh, & I have a Maisto Rock Crawler. Heck, for $30 I couldn't resist. :D

Welcome aboard. I was looking at that miatso today in Wally. Doesn't compare to hobby grade but it is interesting. If you are a model guy and like scalers, you might be interested in the losi micro crawler. 1:24 and 1:20 scale static bodies fit them nicely and they can be cheaper than a larger 10th scale.

Funny you should ask how I found the forum. I was Googling for Rock Crawler mods & this thread came up:

maisto-1-18-crawler-t780.html

I looked at the Micro's & they're too small for what I was wanting to do. I've thought about the Mini's, though, but most likely will go w/ an Axial eventually as a base for a scaler rig. Right now I'm gonna play w/ this Electrix- already have a '57 Chevy truck body that'll be going on soon, looking at better tires & I plan on getting the 15 turn motor upgrade & aluminum shocks.

Hello,

I'm Wolvie. I am technically new here, but there are more than a few of my old friends from another board hanging around here, so it doesn't really feel like a new place! I am 40 with a wonderful wife and 3 beautiful daughters. I have been crashing, breaking, ruining and generally misusing RC vehicles since the late 80's. I doubt I have even one useful bit of advice or knowledge to share with anyone, but I'm pretty fun at parties!
