i would make sure you clean it with some sort of mineral spirits or acetone, and then roughen it with a little sandpaper, not a lot, just enough to give the surface some to have the glue stick to, then try again.

I'd use some elastic string or a hair thing, drill a couple of holes in the mirrors and then tie it through some holes in the body. Then tie knots on the inside so that the mirror will move when its hit, but always bounces back into place afterwards. That or do the same thing but useing screws.

HD, creative idea... :)

I clipped a lawn chair turning pretty fast.. took the mirror right off. It's plastic but there is some residue from some other epoxy or something left over on it.. I figured the GOOP would just hold onto that well but it didn't...

I got around to flipping my servos to the right way they are supposed to be for this junfac kit... and adding my alum steering hubs... Just a couple random pics

the wiring I did under the hood for the lights..
Image

hot racing hubs... pretty nice. Everything fit perfect just like stock except I had the thread locker the step screws.
Image

got an rc bashers sticker on the frame

On the wheels, if I had to buy them over again I would get these: http://www.rcrockcrawling.com/product_i ... cts_id=546
not cheap but very pretty. :) hopefully I will be able to hit a trail tomorrow now that things are drying out here... finally. Oh yeah, I got my 4pl radio and like it a lot. Having access to 1st gear is nice. 3rd is too fast with this 3800kv motor and soft suspension.. I might try and hunt down a 17.5t sensored... I want to sell of a few things before I do that though.. old clod stuff and that 10.5t motor I am not going to use apparently.

Thanks guys... I like how it turned out a lot. I really need to go drive it now and see where the weak points are.

Bill - the emblems I got here: http://www.rpphobby.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=emblem

You have to paint then sand them.. if I were to do it over I would have done two coats of color then sand and run a clear coat over the final product.. but for my first go at it it worked alright.

HD - I found a bungee net exactly how I want it.. http://www.freewebs.com/2001aim/apps/we ... how/484001
I think your bungee cords look higher quality though.. I am wondering how he did the connections.. hmm

either way, that net aint sh!t compared to what you can do yourself for less money. I've made spider web style, straight square knotted...I can teach you grasshopper :dad

There's one I did on a Maisto I started out with under the crawling thread. :roll
Attaching them is as easy as some glue. Be it shoogoo or Super. There is also another method I've seen, but I dont trust it really. I'll find out more once my bungees come in. It's basically squeezing some rings on the ends of the cords so that the hook itself wont slide past the end.

Bill - np man. :)

HD - ok... I measured the bungee that works on the rollover bar at the top and bottom and it's 4 inches. should I go with a 4x4 or 5x5 config?

On radio boxes... what do you guys think?

I would do a 4x5 or 5x6 configuration because the bed is longer than it is wide. But keep it on the bed rails only. Dont go up on the bar or anything. You could even go about a 1/2 or so above the bottom of the bed. There are tie down mounts in the bottom of all 1:1 trucks, so that would look realistic.

yeah - I need to get some tie down mounts... I was thinking I could use some black body mount posts maybe. cut off the post at the bottom or something...

Image

my rx glitched on my last night when switching into 4ws mode... only lasted a second but I was wondering, I can drop a capacitor (novac glitch buster) in my bind plug, right? or I have a y-harness on one of my servos to help the cable reach, I can put it in the unused spot on that right? I might up the BEC on my mmp to 6.5 or something also.. those r2104gf's are rated up to 8.4 or something.. should be safe.
