Got the tranny put together last night, got lucky cause it uses 2 different bearing sizes vs the other in the diffs and looking through my stuff(Nate you will recall these) turned out the bottom ones are savage size which I have a bunch of and the rest are clutchbell size which I had a bunch of lol so score there, wish I knew that before I ordered the kit. This way will have spare bearings since my impatience yesterday while at lhs I picked up enough bearings to get started on the diffs lol, figure the kit wont be here for a couple more days.
Coulda gone far as getting the spur on to but I find the plate that goes on first then the motor plate goes over that is not there and kinda needs to be since the motor plate rests on it and if you try to put it on without it wont center right since it has nothing pretty much to rest on hrm! So ordered one last night so stalled again for a bit

Couple little updates, mail brought my new lipo went a little smaller one this time 2200mah 3s and wow lot smaller over the 4400mah it was only $20.
Next buddy Dan stopped by(crowninshield) and he made up a few of these known as beef tubes lol so said why not! Has a few I think left so interested hollar$30 for a set, stainless steel very nice in hand, have to sand the housing a little where the hole it no biggie and will update once I move to that stage. Been working on rewiring a fxr esc I got today as well ugh! The rx lead was shot to shit and Dan can verify this lol, so dam tiny but I managed to get a new on so glad didnt have to send it back but I also got another with it that is for sure fried so $50 to send to tekin and I have a spare at least...

Its ok not at that stsage anyways lol, still need a airtronics rx but least got a fxr for it! Do have to confirm its fully working but need wire...all the leds are doing odd things flashing and what not but I grabbed the pdf manual and need to look it over to see what it all means and how to program...hotwire would be very nice tho.

Last part of this deal was done yesterday took the offer to swap the ae2 esc for 2 fxr's one is fried and other had shorted im sure cause the black lead on the rx wire was melted completely...so decided what the hell popped the case and resoldered a new lead and holy crap it was hard, had to bust out the magnifying lens that goes on the helping hands I have and still had a hell of a time so small! Got em on tho and it fires up just have to read the manual to figure what its doing.
Onto the next part which as you can see its pretty much together well the important pieces but more importantly today its will be handed off to master Bruce lol so once I get it back it will be much different
Say just suks I have mixed emotion on this rebuild think anyone can see who came out on top here and ive been told by so many wtf was I thinking so im getting beat over the head after the fact sigh...still bummed something ive had for almost 20years was given away for something worth around $100.
Anyway hopefully get it back soon and drive it and maybe forget about it...

Yea got the pdf already just didnt get time to read it yet between the soldering and beef tubes was busy most the evening then got a message if I wanted to goto the lhs today he would come get me so figured I would get the frame somewhat together and drop this off now. With the comp Sat. I doubt he will have much time to do anything on it but who knows...you will have to wait to see it when its done

Thanks Adam the motor got here and wow dam near new! Awesome stuff since will have a fxr in it. Just got back and Bruce is goona verify the fxr is good to go hook it up to the hotwire deal which would be nice to have also gave me a Airtronics rx the cheapy version of the one that came with my radio its like $50 vs $100+ but said take it and try it not sur eit works tho so figners crossed. Other then that rig is in his hands now hope it doesnt take to long

Finally a update kinda, bought these awhile ago now but seller sent me wraith rims and tires instead so had to send those back and just got these today. I really love the ripsaws all be it the only ones I have owned but the wraith scoots over most stuff so honcho needed a set. Now I couldnt wait so stuck one on the stock wheel with Bruces bolt on wheel weight that I painted red well this will change soon as my buddy drops off my new wheels and only one knows what they are so yea Nate couldnt pass em up for the price and I got talked out of their wheels for wraith but not this time! So have to wait to see what the tires will be rolling on
Anyone interested in BP's stuff feel free to contact me and I will get you setup with what ever, I will be posting more of his stuff once he is done with mine.
Oh for the weight consious a stock wheel and ripsaw with stock rings is 3.5oz and one with BP's ring is 4.6oz his ring only goes on the front to, not sure but maybe one could get it on the inside?

My idea is to do this, keep the ripsaws for playing like lake runs or whatever and get a good comp set for well comps..I dont really know to be honest just a idea. I listed these stockers but not one taker so might be keeping em I guess lol.

my guess may be wrong. I remember you saying one time that you started to get a particular set of wheels but someone talked you out of it. But, either way I'll wait. I sold a set of weighted rings like those. But mine didnt have the extra holes. They seemed pretty good for adding some extra weight. You could probably get some on the inside of the rim, but they'd have to have some bigger center holes. Maybe get you some thick washers and drill the holes for the beadlock screws??

I think the stock honcho wheels look pretty nice.. but they are light for sure. Don't people also just stick lead weights around the inside of the rim under the foam?

Yea its not those lol...this landed in my lap the opther day and I cant turn it down and you will see why....
Thing is I have the stainless beef tubes in teh axles to and its a noticable weight gain there which is good and a good place, these rings are good to close to center as you can get altho I seen a guy making kncukle weights for scx10...I think its enough weight as is but with the new rims it wont matter....

Yea tehy do which is what I did on the wraith and was gonna do on these but Bruce set me up with these and are nice and easy to add weight.
