So now that I have been racing alot it was only a matter time to finally upgrade to a race radio. So I got my grubby lil hands on a good deal on a used Spektrum DX3R. Man does this radio do everything. And is my radio shelf empty. At one time I think I had like 10-15 radios up there. Now I am down to 3. My 2 spekky's and the wifes Tactic. And I might just sell that and get a recv. for my DX3S and let her use that when she uses her RC.Only downfall was no booklet or paperwork so I downloaded the manual off there website and copied it out. Now I am confused with all the options I can do with it. This might take a while to get used to.lol

that looks nice wrench. I just went down to the dungeon a minute ago to hear a loud obnoxious beeping. Turns out I left my GT3 on all night and drained my new batteries. Sweet, another $6 down the drain. You running lipo in those?

I like to use Duracell Precharge rechargeable batteries in my 3S and 3R. They last a couple of years, and it costs ~$10 for 4 of them. It's actually the same cell as the Sanyo Eneloop rechargeable batteries were, and those were some of the best I ever used for RC or for my camera flashes.

Nice choice on the 3R, Wrench. Of course, you'll take a lot of crap from the Futaba-heads, but it's a fantastic radio regardless of what anyone says.

I have been running AirTronics stuff for years now and just wanted to upgrade and was real happy with the DX3S I got in my SC10 deal. So this was to good to pass on.So I will keep the S for Bashing and the R for racing. I have some AA rechargers on my Xmas list. I was looking at the Sanyo 2300 miah rechargers. A pack of 8 batts and a charger is only $22 @ Target.I am about to add a skin and a Alloy wheel here in a bit after a shower and dinner. Oh and a beer of coarse.

Wow. As y'all know, I'm still pretty much a greenhorn at the RC stuff unless it involves the Micro crawlers. I had no idea that they made skins & aftermarket wheels for your TX.

Looks nice, bud!

The skin from Darkside Designs.net and the wheel I ordered from my LHS.Dynomite has a whole slue of them in sizes and colors. Nice way to dress things up a little bit.
