just snapped off some current shots of my minis.. I was wayyyy into these for a few years but am more into bigger scale stuff now.. but I spend a LOT of time on the RC18s tuning every little bit of them.. here we go:

first up the yellow 18R... this was a ground up build.. mostly plastic and some carbon fiber.. it's light and VERY fast... 8900Kv motor with 3s lipos... if you do the math it should be hitting upper 50s.. it's a rocket.

mods are:
8900Kv motor w/ 1st gen mamba 25
MIP cvds
delrin 50t spur
carbon fiber shock towers extra wide (makes handling better)
Driven Prod gear cover and steering link
3 racing shocks and wheels/tires and adjustable links
10th scale servo mod
alum a-arms and steering nuckles
sealed bearings
titanium hinge pins
custom bumper, custom shims cut out of blister pack plastic to get slop out of front end.

next up, black 18R... this one was a car I bought and completely rebuilt... it's heavier and slower than the yellow one.. handles differently also with the stock shock mounts.. but I still like it.. I think it hits mid 40s on a 3s.. maybe with a tailwind. ;)

mods are:
6800Kv motor w/ sidewinder micro
delrin spur 55t
mip cvds
driven gear cover and steering link
3racing shocks, wheel/tires, and adjustable links
hitec mg micro servo (65mg??)
alum upper deck, c-hubs, steering knuckles, rear arm mounts
fullforce titanium skid plate
rpm bumper with custom crappy foam bumper on top..
whole car is shimmed to take slop out of joints...

next up is my 18T.. I have worked on this far more than I have driven it.. it's a shelf queen...

6800Kv motor w/ mamba 25 (2nd gen, leads through PCB soldered on back)
driven clear gear cover
Delrin spur
MIP diffs
MIP CVDs
3Racing shocks
RPM a-arms
Lundsford titanium heavy duty adjustable links
alloy c-hubs, carriers, front and rear bumpers, and shock towers.
Hitec MG servo with bullet-proof servo saver
fully shimmed throughout

Here's my Mini E-ReVo (aka MERV)

it's got the stock esc and motor.. I fit an RS310 RX into the radio box - it barely fit.. I mean, it didn't fit.. but I shoved it in there.. lol. this thing is a rocket and so nimble.. lots of fun! I run 3s lipos on this for the most part.. I have 2 SMC 1400mah 28c 3s lipos and I have to say, they are the best batteries I have ever used.. talk about burst power.. OMG! these things smoke my 3s 1550mah maxamps on burst power imo.. I dunno, but they are great.. I run them with the parallel adapter which I butchered for my WK esc.. so I have another parallel adapter in the mail..

mods are
mini quake heatsink
rpm arms (blue)
traxxas tubes (red)
rocker bearings
traxxas GTR shocks w/ HR springs
HR alum shock bottoms and adjuster (red - rear only)
fake carbon fiber wing
ebay wheelie bar..

planned mods are traxxas CVDs and titanium skid plates.. maybe a better servo..

yeah - I need to put my 5400Kv motor back on it.. with those MT tires the 6800Kv is too much.. even with a 2s..

some more mini pics...

shimming the suspension
Image

red 18R... the tomato!
Image
Image

silver 18R.. I beat this body to hell.. wow.. it's like shot.
Image

two cheapo ebay cars, mini turbo = minizilla clone, and the other was an RC18T clone..
Image

I ended up putting a bunch of alloy on the minizilla and selling it at the LHS.. the RC18T clone ended up as spare parts.. which I think I still have some of. ;)
