Figured I'd post up a few poser shots of my Circuit stadium truck. Its my 1st hobby grade RC, & I'm looking forward to customizing it & making it a better machine.
Pic #1 is basically out of the box w/ only one battery session on the clock:

Image

Pic 2 is after a little bashing for a week or so:

And 3 is one w/ my Maisto Rock Crawler:

Let's see some shots of the ST without the body. I don't think I've ever heard of that brand.

seen these in the rc driver mag, they say there good for just starting out or as a 2nd car to mess around with. they say the only down side to them was no adjustments for camber an toe in or out. but other then that they got pretty decent reviews.

doesnt seem like a bad truck. if you are just getting in i would seriously consider also getting a Short course truck as well. if you ever decide to race there will always be a class.
but for bashing they are very fun.
maybe a traxxas 4x4 or something else. there are plenty of 2wd out there that are cheap and great for bashing.

Got a ton of pics, including w/o the body, at this link

http://www.rccaraction.com/ME2/dirmod.a ... B61F7C032B

Its pretty much a basher. I doubt it could hold its own against a "real" hobby grade... but I do think its a darn good entry level machine. A 15T motor is available, & I believe a Traxxas 12T is nearly a direct drop in.

I went by the LHS in Corpus today & picked up a cheap set of Duratrax all terrain tires, some body mount pins, & a few cans of paint to shoot the Parma body.

very cool. it sounds like you are getting into the hobby pretty quickly!
speaking of duratrax, they make a nice desert truck basher.

That Duratrax was reviewed in the same issue of RC Driver mentioned above. I seriously considered it, but went w/ the Circuit.

I'm a car guy to the core- I don't leave wheeled vehicles alone very long. I modify every model car I build, & I start changing things on my real vehicles nearly as soon as I get them. Only natural that I'm doing the same w/ the RC stuff- LOL.

If your into the stadium stuff you really should look into a slash next, hands down one of the funnest trucks I owned, I had the 2wd one back when and now have a 4x4 here but havent driven it yet due to no eletrics for it yet.

Here's a shot of the new rear tires, w/ the Parma body sitting half way in place:

Yea my LHS just started carrying these rigs. Owner says they seem to be a real good entry level rigs and some good support from the manf. He has sold a few and has had no complaints about them at all. So what colors and design are you planning on adding to your new lid? New rims and tires look real good on there. Enjoy the new build work. Feel free to ask any questions you like. We are all here to help.l8r,w.

Paints gonna be basic- I've never done a lexan body before, so I'm keeping it simple. Metallic red for the body, w/ silver on the grille/bumpers & a black in places like window trim & bed. The rims are the stockers still, but the rear tires are a set of Evader EXT2's. I'll prolly dismount the fronts & put the other EXT2 tires on as well.

Its great as an entry level for sure. I've beat on this thing a little, & its held up well. Worst thats happened was a head-on into a concrete block at near full throttle (what can I say- I'm a nOOb). Damage was a crack in the front of the stock body shell about 1-1/2" long. A little clear packing tape & it was ready to go again.

i like that body. pretty scale looking too. you could do a nice job with that simple paint job plan, and with that body it will look great.

if you have questions on the painting let us know, but seems like you know what you're doing with the work you've done on the models.

i assume you have an airbrush system?

+1 vote for a slash for the next truck.

Nope- I actually don't use an airbrush. I use rattle cans. I'm pretty good w/ 'em, I guess because I've used them so long. But w/ the cost of lexan spray paint, I may change over to the airbrush if I get too serious in the RCs!
