Picked up a Maisto drifter & with a bit of practice,it will actually drift,but hardly any run time with AAA batts.



After a bit of dremel work & some Batt. holders ,I can use 2500 mah AA's for longer running & while I had it apart,replaced the stock drive motor with a 30,000rpm Xmod stage2,really makes a difference.Adding the AA's made the chassis too wide for the stock body,so I'm working on adapting a toy fox body for it.

Joe I have some old Xmod Gen 1 stuff in a box including those nice snap clip side saddle AA battery holders! 3 or 4 bodies, any one of them should drop right on there with some slight modifications (a newer model mustang body with kinda crappy paint, a accura, a vette that has the paint mostly stripped for repainting and a really nice red infinity coupe with a partial body kit) ...I believe I even have a hopped up spin-brush modded Xmod motor too. PM me if your interested, they just take up needed storage space in my RC room.

Hi Wolvie,Thanks for the offer, I have a few GEN1 & EVOs taking up space also, I think I'm gonna just finish this one & call it done with the small scale stuff for a while.
I've been thinking of getting a cc01 ,but I need to stay away from yard sales & thrift stores & sell off some stuff first

Your welcome but (swearing under breath) I thought I was finally getting rid of those Xmod odds n ends...

Now I have lived through the Micro/mini madness, and beware of withdrawls and falling off the wagon, but if your strong you can do it!!!!

Concentrate my man, and repeat this throughout the day...i will not stop at yard sales....I will not stop at yard sales....

Then think over and over...I will get off my butt and sell this stuff on Ebay.....
