Man, its funny how you just end up with more & more RCs without even really trying!

The guy that sold me the Micro Crawler I just got threw in a used Micro T w/ a bad ESC. No TX or body- just a stock rolling chassis. He said he fried the electrics when he hooked up a bad lipo.

How do the wheels come off these tiny things? I'm trying to figure out a way to put different tires on it & legnthen the chassis so I can build me some kind of 1/24 scale rig out of it, so any info you wanna share is apprectiated!

And if you have a cheeeeeep RX/TX for one, lemme know.

:punk

tiny ass c-clips hold on the wheels bro, be careful when prying them off...those suckers have a mind of their own and are super hard to find if they hit the floor!

I have extra everything for those micro ts esc/rx boards, lipos, motors...well pretty much every chassis part as well :crazy

send me a PM or something if your seriously looking to get that little zipper running.

oh and the desert truck chassis should be almost the perfect length, all the parts from yours bolt onto the DT

Wolvie is da man. He sent me a good board along w/ extra's- thanks, bud.

I just got the package in today- so I figured I prolly wouldn't get around to messin' w/ it anytime real quick. Heh, then I tore it down tonite & replaced the board, put in a charged batt, stuck the crystal out of the Circuit stadium truck into it, & away she went. Wow- these are quick li'l SOBs for thier size!

Speaking as a charter member of MAA (micro addiction anonymous) Check out my post of all my old Micro mini-z and X-mods for confirmation....There is precious little you can do now to save yourself, so just take it one day at a time, and if you are really quick, and get there very early, you might be able to beat me and Wrench to the newest magazines in the waiting room...but don't hold yer breath!!!! :rof

Man this ought to be interesting...a Lambo micro-T...Hell I'm game :popcorn

Thanks for the advice. Always nice to get professional opinions on your serious medical conditions!

As for the body- its a VW based dune buggy kit, based off the wild fiberglass bodies that were all the rage in the '60s/'70s. The wheelbase is off by about 10-12 mm's, so a little time on the stretching rack will be in order. I highly doubt I'd ever come across another Micro T built like this, thats for certain.

I'm also not 100 percent sure I'll be using this body. I'm also considering a mid-'70s Blazer body, built into a pre-runner style desert truck.

Anybody here belong to the Micro T forum? I registered a while back, but never got my email to activate the account. I got one that said my account was waiting activation, but nothing else ever came. I have the same screen name there, & it shows up on the members list, but I can't log on. Think one of y'all could PM the admin there & see what options I have?

Don't worry, Sav- I just want to read up, & their forums won't let you view some areas unless you're registered.

i liked the micros when they came out, but at the time they weren't easy to get other elecs for, and the stock shocks were pretty horrible. i can still see how they would be fun around the house though!

Thanks, Wrench- I appreciate that.

I'm not sure I'll do much more Micro T stuff other than this one I have. I'd actually registered over at the other forum quite a while back, just to see thier Micro Crawler section. Main reason I want the account activated is so I can research. I'm active here & at RCC- thats really enuff for me.

Wrench got my account straightened out over there- thanks again, bud.

I might have a bad servo or something. It glitches out & twitches kinda like my stock Micro Crawler servo did when it fried. Before I look for replacement parts, could something else cause this effect?

I finally sat down tonite & read up on servo glitches on the Micro T forum. Made me a list of things to check & found the problem. The antennae wire had come loose. Got it wired back up & we're runnin' fine again.

I was racing around the house a little- I don't think a styrene model body would last on this thing. Its a fast little sucker, & when you hit something, you really hit something. Its so small that it instantly STOPS on impact- & that would destroy a model body real quick like.

sounds like you need to build some "rally" bumpers for it with some door guards!

The problem is more the near instantaneous halt on impacts. Styrene isn't as flexible as lexan, so the lexan will "give" a little when the car hits something. A one-piece styrene body might be OK, but one with glued-on bumpers, body parts, etc will come apart pretty quickly, I'm thinkin'. Of course I guess I could try driving it without hitting anything. Heh, like that's gonna happen..............

Nah, I need to go with bumpers attached with shock absorbers- like the 5 mph saftey bumpers on 1:1 cars.

On my recent trip to San Antonio, I went by Hobbytown & picked up a set of tires more to my liking:

Both HTUSA & my LHS are out of threaded axles & bearing sets, but those upgrades are definately on the list. Those e clips are flippin' nuts- what was Losi thinking??
