Call of Duty has been going downhill, and it's gone far enough! Ever since World at War, the whole franchise has started taking a nosedive through MW2 & Black Ops. Most others agree that Black oops is just MW2 with a few different features and a pretty new bow! Activision has rushed out a whole new CoD game every year and it all comes down to one reason: Money . That's right, Activision and their CEO Robert Kotick have been getting greedy, and push out games constantly to scrape in more & more profit. This is exactly why the franchises Call of Duty, Guitar Hero and Cabelas hunting games all suck! And because the fanboys & little 13-year-old squeakers eat that crap up for each game, Activision keeps things the way they are (Low quality, stupid customers, maximum profit!). The only way things will get back on track is if MW3 sales scrape rock bottom. Then they'll realize that most gamers are actually watching them and they will actually have to put work into their games. Besides, I'm puttin my money on Battlefield 3.

You realize that Activision only publishes these games, they don't write or program them? I'm not sure what else you are expecting from the games, because I thought that Black Ops and MW2 were actually really well done...and they were written by different studios. Treyarch did World at War (yes, it wasn't good, but it did change the game significantly) and Black Ops. Infinity Ward did MW and MW2, and the gameplay and feel are obviously different and created by a completely different set of people than the Treyarch games. These games are completely about the multi-player, and the single-player story line is second priority. As far as multi-player FPS games go, they are great, IMO.

I'm not saying you have to go out and buy them, but I'm not sure were the hostility comes from. You aren't forced to buy any game and if you are tired of a series, then don't play it. I still like the series and will probably buy COD: Iron Wolf when Treyarch finishes that one. MW3...not decided yet. Activision dumped infinity Ward on this and have 2 different companies working on the game.

While I didnt go "buy" black ops I played it :wink and liked it but I like most of those type of games however I hate all this really long story line stuff that could be used for more actual game play...
Think note is having more anger issues then me these days! :tng

Anger issues only because I hate seeing great game franchises being flushed down the crapper by greedy corporations that are milking 'em for every cent they can get. I've been into games like how many of you guys have been in RC.

i dont play cod but my kids do and what ive seen of it its pretty damm cool. but they also play online and lots of nazi zombies.

but everyone is entitled to there own opinion. heck i can remember starting out with the intellivision and working our way to the ps3 so imo i think gaming has come a long was and if you dont like a game just dont play it.

and k as far as a company milking it for all its worth. well rc companys are the same way. take traxxas for instance. you got the stampede now in several different versions. from the 2 wheel drive, the monster truck series to the 4 wheel drive. think there not milking a product? or the slash you got the old version 2wd to the vxl and 2.4 ghz to now 4wd.
all companies are from gaming to what ever you can imagine milk a platform for all its worth. its called keep over head low and make profit.

My point is that Activision's squeezing the CoD franchise of every possible cent it can produce, and if they keep it up then the whole CoD will be so shitty that no one will want to play it. And its not just CoD, the same happened to Guitar Hero & the Cabelas hunting games (which are owned under Activision). They've already raped Guitar Hero & Cabelas is just about to fall. The same thing will happen to CoD, and the TRUE gamers see it coming (as far as the REAL gamers are concerned, Activision has target on its head along with its CEO Robert Kotick). Turning a good profit is one thing, but its something else entirely to drain a franchise of all of its worth just to turn a slightly higher profit.

And how about the fact that Activision is purposefully withholding millions in royalties owed to Infinity Ward for MW2, just to force the programmers to continue working through to MW3. Good businessmen or not, thats flat out crooked.

As far as I'm concerned, CoD is dead to me so im turning entirely to Battlefield. BC2 may not have as good of graphics, but it has much much better gameplay and it has almost no Noobs & squeakers to piss you off while playing. It also has better server connections, no host migrations and failed connections. If Activision wasnt so busy destroying CoD, Infinity Ward could work at bring it back up to what it used to be.

I'd rather play BC2 than COD anymore, all COD is anymore is crap games and millions of spendy spendy customers.
