My name is Dave.Im 45 and been into rc since I was 10 or so.I have been a member on rc19talk and clodtalk for some time now along with a couple others but I spend most of my time on the 2. Always lookin to meet new people and get new ideas and inspiration for my cars. I have sold some RCs in the past but at the moment I have 4 Clods, a couple rc10, a 10T, 3 losi xx, 2 xxt, 2 slashes, 1 bolink sport, 1 associated on road,Tamiya Nissan R91CP, 1 electric Panda buggy, 1-T4 ,2-B4 and my latest build that I am just finishing, a 2010 Sand Scorcher. Over the last year I have completely changed over to brushless and lipo in all my cars and truck and wish I would have done it years ago. What a blast. I am a huge fan of the EZRUN systems. My son Mike (18) and I enjoy our cars much more since I made the switch to brushless. Here are afew of our toys I will post more in the proper location later. Nice to meet you all and I will talk to you later.

Dave

Thanks for joining up! Glad to have you. That is an impressive list! I used to have a pretty good list not so long ago but like most the economy forced some to go elsewhere :( recently sold my 10T that was a hard one, took me a long time to get that and was my favorite of the Ae rigs.
Dont hesitate to ask anything and look forward to seeing your cars soon!

Very impressive fleet, and that every single one is brushless is even more impressive. Welcome aboard.

Thanks guys, I still have 55T brushed motors in our 2 stock clods. Slow and keeps damage to a minimum. The big Clod has alloy axel tubes and I just put dual ezrun brushless in it. I am trying to figure out just how I need to hook them up. I am useing 2 speed controls, 1 receiver and 2 lipo. From what I understand I just need to disconnect one wire on one speed control going to the receiver.Dont wanna to let the smoke out so I need to be sure.

Score one for me! search is your friend haha

Quote:
You would need two ESC's hooked up with a servo ''Y'' harness, and to remove 1 of the red (esc to reciever) wires.

Hey Sav, I never got an EZrun because the redcat I bought was brushless already. There is a member on here that has a few of those systems though, in an e-revo and lunchbox. I never ran dual esc but disconnecting one red wire makes sense because you only need one BEC circuit. When running an external BEC you disconnect the red wire also, like on a crawler.

Hey welcome to our little home away from home! Glad to have ya and love yer fleet so far!

What part of the US do you call home anyway? maybe one of us is in yer neighborhood? This sport is always more fun with friends I always say! Glad to hear your son is getting into RC, I have 3 girls and I have lost the older two, but I am still holding out hope for my youngest, she is 11 and hasn't totally dismissed the old man as a weirdo who hangs out in the basement all day working on toy cars, like her older sisters have! :rof

Hi and thank you. I am from Stonewall Manitoba Canada. About 20 miles from Winnipeg or Winterpeg as some people call it.My son isnt as big a fan of rc as I am. PS3 and 360 is more his thing but he enjoys runnin the Clods and really likes the Slashes.
