Nice ride.
I got the same one but now I run different bodies cuz the paint on my AE86 chipped like crazy (first paint job, too thick).

I've upgraded to: front one-way diff, universal dogbones, GPM aluminum steering assembly, ABS tires (next will be T-Drifts) and Spektrum 2.4GHz.
Still run the stock motor/esc for now. When I can I'm probably gonna get a Novak 8.5 system.

got any pics spliff? i was gonna get deep into this ride, like making flip up lightbuckets with leds and underglow neons. that body was just the starting point, i was ready to order a silvia body to really work on. you know the works, lights, paint and graphics. that was until i got my stampede and slash. now the drifter sits on the back burner.

If you're gonna go all out and want it to look really really nice, I'd suggest looking into a body that has light buckets available.
Unless you really like making stuff but it's a lot easier and may end up looking better.

yeah im a member of drccentral and groovydrift also a couple more i forget. but they do look nice, i just dont like to buy an option part and just slap it on the body and call it done. im more of the tinker then fabricate type of guy. at one point i wanted to make some fenderflares for the 86 and make some deeeeeep dish wheels. as deep as han's veilside rx7 in tokyo drift. that car was sick til it got t-boned, made me sick to my stomach to see that happen
