Anybody remember these? I got one at about 16 yrs old, & it was the closest thing I had to a "real" RC 'til I got my Electrix just recently. They were a 4 wheel drive buggy sold thru Radio Shack.

I still have mine & dug it out a few weeks back. The plastic has become brittle, & so the front suspension is now held together w/ zip ties (screw holes broken). It even still runs, though its very very weak. Reverse is really bad- sometimes it didn't want to back up at all.

Here's what they looked like if you don't remember them, circa the early '90s:

Oldie there! Mine low grade first one was sold through a place here called price club, had a fiberglass sheet for the frame and a grasshopper rear end and front end but the electrics were a circuit board with the esc and rx built in and some dinky servo. At some point I tried to replace the electrics with real stuff which didnt work mostly cause I was in my rc infancy so wasnt to knowledgable then, gram to the rescue and bought me a real one :righton

man my first low grade was an old radio shack truck. it was yellow, had a toggle on the bottom for high or low gear. i loved that truck! it has no suspension at all but was very fun to drive. my twin brother and i have a video of us driving them the first christmas we got them. i think we were 5 or 6. more than 20 years ago.
