I bought a Board Shark at a local Flea Market for $10. I figured I'd give it to my nephew beings that there is a lake nearby. Got it home and it was d.o.a.

So I gutted it. I pulled the electronics from my Pede car and made some brackets for the 20t Scorpion.

I've got a faster setup but I don't want to risk it all on the first run. I hacked the plastic surfer off the cover on the board and made a shell out of half of a 2 lt. bottle, taped some windows and painted it.

It tests out good in the tub, it climbed the wall with a punch of the throttle. I'm going to get it out in the open water in a day or so. I'll let you know if I lost all of my electronics in a blaze of ignorance. But for now it's got the basics, it floats, it's water tight, and I got range on the controller so I don't see why it wouldn't work but we'll see.
Thats the new Hummer body on the Rustler after melting down my old Pede body in some SuperClean. That stuff ate thru the turkey pan I had it in and gave the body a work over.:crazy It was pouring out of the holes while I was running for the door. It's not to be taken lightly.
:doh

that actually looks really good man, i think that will work fine.

one note, be careful about over heating the ESC, if it has thermal safety on it GOOD> if not. you might want to take it easy, and get a water cooler esc if needed, but you aernt pushing many colts so you should be fine.l

Did'nt turn out to bad huh??
I'm taking her out either today or tommorow. The ESC would only get hot in the Pede after some serious bashing. But I'm not sure if the drag from the prop in the water will be the same or not. Guess we'll find out. The motor is liquid cooled, but the esc is not. I've still got to seal each component in baggies or balloons just to be safe.

:punk It worked. I ran it around for about 45 minutes on 2 batterys. The solder on the motor wire broke at the end. As luck would have it, it was headed right for me when it happened so it coasted right to the bank. It's not fast by any means. Maybe 20 mph or so. But I'm going to mount my Reedy 19T in it ands see how it reacts. It turns on a dime as well. I was really surprised at how well it did. Video to come for sure.

Well, it ran so good with the stock 20t that I put my Reedy 19t in it and gave it another paint job. How about bright red with some true flames???
