I'm bored and its been a really strange day here. So I thought I would drag out my old nitro truck and see if any one recognizes it. I almost forgot I had it. It was hiding.. Anyway its been put through hell and back, I did my first conversion (Dura Trax) of it in about "92", I think, when I first built it, but it kept shredding the diff gear, it was chain drive.
So then some guy from California ( I think) did some designing or redesigning of a Associated Electric RC truck a year or 2 later. (Sorry, its been too long, Im old) :) Before that company had a gas truck.

I can only remeber the first name of the guy...Kunio.. and his last name sounds like "dundgeon" or something like that.. Does anybody remember this.

I'm not gonna try and quote evryone, so, Thank You to evryone who commented.

Here is what I do know. I kept the OS 12 and fuel tank from the Dura Trax conversion for the RC10T. I never owned a 10T at the time (i wanted one really bad, but couldn't afford it at the time) Like I said, the back would flex a little and the chain would just shred the diff gear. It looked kinda like a motorcycle sprocket.

One day I went to my LHS in about 92, ( I think) and this conversion kit was on sale. I just needed an engine, shocks, and electronics, to finish it, well I had all that.

It was totally based on the RC10 T before AE came out with their RC10 GT. the gears in the tranny are stealth tranny gears and all the arms are 10 T. The spur gear is from an 1/8 th scale. I borrowed some shocks from an old Traxxas nitro sport, thats in pieces around here.

I believe it should still run. Maybe I will clean it up this winter and see what happens.

Back in the day their was all kinds of conversions for stuff so who knows, sure whoever it was probaly isnt around now but I would stick it on rcmt maybe, Will is pretty up on the old stuff.
Think about tracing me that tranny brace? :wink :cheers think I have enough cf to cut one myself since their not made anymore and one guy I found makes em but wants almost $15!
